Economía

Economía, or economics in English, is the social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. It examines how individuals, businesses, governments, and nations make choices about allocating scarce resources to satisfy their needs and wants. Economics is broadly divided into two main branches: microeconomics, which focuses on the behavior of individuals and firms in making decisions regarding the allocation of resources, and macroeconomics, which looks at the economy as a whole, analyzing aggregate indicators like GDP, unemployment rates, and inflation. The field also explores concepts like supply and demand, market structures, economic systems, and the role of government in regulating or facilitating economic activity. Ultimately, economics seeks to understand how societies manage their limited resources to improve overall welfare and address issues such as wealth distribution and economic growth.
